My friends and I came here for lunch on a Sunday. It wasn't too busy and we got seated right away. They have happy hours on selected drinks, which is always a plus! Prices seem fair overall. We got the espresso martini and Thai iced tea, they were pretty good. For food, we shared the pumpkin curry with chicken, Yen ta fo, and crispy rice salad and Mango sticky rice. Food presentation was 10/10 and everything we ordered tasted delicious!! Service was very friendly and attentive, and I highly recommend Andaman if you're looking for quality Thai food in the area. The only downside is that they don't take reservations, and it's metered parking in the strip mall. However, you can find free parking nearby, just need to walk a little.

My son is going away to the Army Officers program. This is our last family lunch before he goes away for training. I'm a bit sad, but very proud of my son. He picked Andaman to have lunch with his family. It's was perfect. It was both a celebration and a good bye but it felt like we were at home. Andaman beautiful interior, colorful plates, and some of the best Thai food. We laughed and messed with each other the whole time. Thank you Andaman for one of my favorite memories with my son

Really delicious Thai food, would come back 100%. We came for lunch and you could tell the place was popping and we had to get on the Yelp waitlist. Beautiful decor inside and thoughtful service. We got satay chicken, ginger eggplant with chicken, and the fire pork belly. My husband said the pork belly was incredible. Also, another thing that really stood out to me was how generous the portion sizes were. Humongous. Would recommend sharing family style. Again, fire pork belly is the thing to get if you eat meat and can deal with heat!

This is our go to spot in Walnut Creek. The pad Thai always has an abundance of flavor. The noodle dishes, soups and crispy rice appetizer is always a must.

We walked in here and were quickly welcomed and sat. I immediately noticed the elegant casual vibe of the restaurant and appreciated all the modern decor. I ordered the green curry, and though it may look small, it fed me for two meals! Great food for a cold day and we topped it off with mango sticky rice which was shareable between the two of us. Our waitress let us know that they are family owned and operated. I didn't catch her name, but she was so kind with answering our questions and making sure we had all of our food ordered before the kitchen closed (they close temporarily between lunch and dinner).

Since Thai Osha in P Hill closed, we have been looking for a new Thai restaurant. Tried several and weren't impressed. Then we found Andaman. Flavors are fantastic, food is fresh, service is amazing. It is small and cozy, sometimes there is a wait but it is worth it! They do take reservations over the phone in advance. Haven't had a bad dish since we started dining here. Delicious, don't miss!

After reading rave reviews on Yelp and Nextdoor, my friend and I decided to have lunch at Andaman this afternoon. Today was our first visit. We arrived a little before 12:15 pm and were seated right away. Loved how the menus were photo books. I had pad see ew with tofu (lunch portion) and my friend had the basil chicken. Portions were generous. Service was friendly and efficient. Only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars was the noise. I would love to try more items but I may be more inclined to do take out. Either way, I'd recommend Andaman to any/all Thai food fans! Since the parking lot is metered until 11 pm, I parked in the plaza escuela garage so I wouldn't have to worry about feeding the meter

Came here for weekday lunch and this place was pretty full by 12:30. The restaurant was nicely heated which was great for the winter. The Christmas decors were cute and tables were adequately spaced. Our server was friendly and Knowledgeable. I got the lunch portion basil chicken and the portion was BIG. I love the flavor of the minced chicken and the meat was moist. The sauce was also more watery and less saucy which I'm ok with, but I felt that the traditional way of making it should be not-watery and stir-Fry more throughly. Another observation about the lunch plate was that the plate spinned around while I was eating if I didn't hold my plate with my left hand. The watery sauce of the chicken also mixed with the lunch salad on the same plate which wasn't as ideal. The Thai basil dish can be made with your choice of meat. I appreciate the server informing me of the pork choice being sliced in pieces not minced. To me it's a big deal! Overall, I will definitely come back for their lunch as it's a really good deal!

Recently dined here with some friends who live in the East Bay. We were looking for a Thai restaurant in Walnut Creek but away from the main downtown due to limited parking. We found Andaman on Yelp that fit the bill - great reviews and a private metered parking lot ($3.50/hr) in a shared strip mall....just 1-2 blocks away from downtown downtown. A few folks at the dinner had never had Thai before so this was a great first experience and impression for them. They loved it! For appetizers, we ordered chicken and beef satay skewers. Each order comes with 5 and is accompanied with a peanut dipping sauce and some pickled veggies. The skewers were flavorful and not dry. They taste tasted great with the peanut sauce dipping sauce. We also ordered their roti and curry. Delicious flaky flatbread served with a yellow curry sauce. It came with about 8 pieces. It was so good that I wanted to order another one but we had so much food coming. We ordered the following dishes: -pad see ew with tofu - deliciously eggy and served with pieces of Chinese broccoli and fried tofu cubes -yellow curry - not too spicy and was served with a generous amount of chicken thighs and potatoes -pineapple fried rice - always a hit and served in a half pineapple -garlic chicken - the garlic pepper sauce over stir-fried chicken had so much flavor! -cashew nut chicken (I know this is more of a Chinese dish but Andaman's take on it was great. This was a "familiar" dish to our guests) The dishes are served on very large round plates so if you are ordering many dishes, family style, you may run out of real estate on the tables like we did. We had to play a bit of Tetris with the plates to make them all fit but it wasn't a big issue as we were finishing up the dishes quickly. Friendly and attentive service! Our waters were refilled several times without us asking. The restaurant was clean and modern looking. I love supporting local family-owned restaurants! I loved the food so much that I ordered a green curry with fresh tofu and another pad see ew with tofu togo to bring home!
